The Sam Houston National Forest, one of four National Forests in Texas, is located 50 miles north of Houston. Rolling terrain covered with pines and oaks characterize the forests of the east Texas Pineywoods. Elevations range from 200 to 500 feet above sea level.
One of the four routes will challenge your riding skills. Choose either the 14 mile family ride, the 24 mile Beginner route, 42 Intermediate route or 70 mile Advanced route under the shade of the pines.
Manned rest stops will be placed along the route, approximately spaced every 11-15 miles.
All funds raised will benefit The Sean Ashley House. Our Mission is to provide a meaningful living environment for children and adults with disabilities. The Sean Ashley House is designed to provide "model" homes for persons with autism, blindness, mental retardation, and/or multiple disabilities in a collaborative effort between professionals and parents. Our Goal is for individuals to reach and maintain their maximum potential and to have meaningful, productive lives in a loving, happy, and safe home environment.
